Nick Pateras - CEO
Nick Pateras brings a wealth of global experience to the role from his time in the pharmaceutical and cannabis sectors. His career includes several years of P&L oversight for Johnson & Johnson’s largest healthcare brands, before joining the cannabis industry in Canada in 2017. Most recently Nick was interim CEO at medical cannabis producer Materia, where he ran its European operations, including the successful licensure of its EU GMP production site in Malta. During this time, Materia's facility became the first in Malta ever to export medical cannabis internationally, selling into the German market. Prior to Materia, Nick had served as Vice President, Strategy at Canadian cannabis tech firm Lift & Co., where he steered revenue growth of 6x in two years, and supported Lift & Co.’s public listing.
Sophie Gamwell - Head of Operations
Sophie Gamwell has worked in Operations for tech start-ups for the last decade across London, New York and Australia. Having started her career as an Intensive Care nurse, she brings a unique blend of technology and healthcare experience to Lyphe Group. Throughout her career she has succeeded at turning complex business problems into streamlined, seamless processes to drive business strategy and performance. Her operational excellence as supported businesses deliver 100% year-on-year growth whilst maintaining a steady bottom line. More recently, Sophie completed her CIMA accounting qualifications to support her years of industry experience.
Bojan Ambrus - Head of Marketing & Digital Product
Bojan Ambrus is a seasoned growth marketing professional with a track record of strategic thinking and leadership across international environments. With over 15 years of marketing experience, including roles at Gartner, StubHub, Hertz, Lickd, and Vaping.com, Bojan has excelled in startups and scale-ups. He has adeptly built and positioned brands, steered product and marketing engines for acquisition and retention, and facilitated founder-led exits in complex and regulated sectors. Recently, Bojan has extended his expertise to growth mentorship, partnering with founders and CEOs to offer insightful guidance on marketing and product-led growth strategies.
Julia St John - Group Financial Controller
Julia St John is an experienced finance director having worked in international SME and larger corporate entities. She has deep experience providing innovative solutions to revenue growth and cost optimisation in scaling businesses across a full spectrum of commercial and operational challenges. Her core skillsets lie in working capital management, start-up processes, business integration, business trade sales, MBO and business transformation situations.
Tracey Loton - Managing Director, Australia
Tracey Loton joined Lyphe Australia in August 2022 as Managing Director and has over 20 years of experience in healthcare sales and business development. Tracey has an extensive background in the Australian medicinal cannabis industry, starting in 2016 as the first Medical Science Liaison for Tilray ANZ where she developed an early prescriber base nationally, negotiated key government supply contracts for paediatric epilepsy programs and delivered internal training programs. Tracey then moved to a National Business Manager role with Vitura Health, successfully launching their Adaya brand and developing a high performing team of Medical Science Liaisons. Tracey holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons) and brings to Lyphe a strong clinical knowledge, a passion for educating healthcare practitioners and for improving the lives of patients through access to effective treatments.
Hayley Thompson - Senior HR Manager
Hayley Thompson is an accomplished professional with 15 years of experience in the Health & Social care industry. Her diverse background includes, regulatory compliance, SME management and strategic HR development. Hayley has spent the past 10 years working within SME’s, carving out her niche in building HR functions from the ground up, with a unique ability to blend operational hands on experience with a strategic mindset, bridging the gap between day-to-day tasks and long term business objectives.
